Description
A beautiful Whitefriars Blue coloured shallow footed bowl with a lovely polished pontil.
A Whitefriars light blue shallow footed bowl, showcasing the cool, airy colour tones that defined the company’s mid‑century decorative glass. The light blue shade has a crisp, refreshing clarity — shifting gently in brightness depending on the light — and is one of Whitefriars’ most elegant, understated colourways.
The bowl has a wide, shallow form set on a neatly crafted clear or matching‑blue foot, giving it a clean, modern silhouette. Hand‑blown details such as the smooth rim, balanced weight, and subtle pontil mark beneath the foot highlight the quality of Whitefriars’ craftsmanship. These bowls were produced as part of their domestic tableware ranges, valued for their simplicity, purity of colour, and timeless design.
A refined and collectible example of British art glass, ideal for enthusiasts of Whitefriars, Baxter‑era colour palettes, or mid‑century modern forms.
