A scarce airtwist‑stem Coronation coblet made by Whitefriars in 1953 to mark the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Hand‑blown in rich mid‑century colour, this refined version features the distinctive air-twisted stem — a technical flourish that sets it apart from the standard heavy‑based coblets. The bowl carries the acid‑etched EIIR Coronation emblem, while the airtwist stem adds lightness, movement, and a touch of Whitefriars’ artistry.
A rare and highly collectible piece combining royal history with the craftsmanship of one of Britain’s most respected glasshouses.
