A late Victorian green‑printed pot lid for Hawley’s White Rose Toothpaste, produced in the 1880s–1890s and sold through the firm’s London and Liverpool outlets. The fresh green transfer is a desirable colour variant, highlighting the rose emblem and period lettering beautifully.
Made in white ironstone with an underglaze print, these lids were part of Hawley’s premium chemist ware and are now collected for their clean design, dual‑city branding, and uncommon colourway. A tidy, display‑ready example of 19th‑century British toothpaste advertising.
