Description

Description

A Lovely and rare lilac (Dipped) Jasperware Jug/Pitcher. Dated to after 1891.

A refined Wedgwood Lilac Jasperware jug, showcasing the classical elegance that has defined the company’s stoneware for over two centuries. The soft lilac body is beautifully contrasted with crisp white reliefs, each motif sharply modelled and showing the level of craftsmanship Wedgwood reserved for its best ornamental wares. The matte finish, balanced proportions, and clean lines give this jug a timeless presence.

A lovely decorative piece for collectors of jasperware or anyone seeking a gentle pop of colour within a classical aesthetic. Displays beautifully on its own or as part of a Wedgwood grouping, and remains a fine example of the firm’s enduring design tradition.
