This is a medal from the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes. This medallion is a “Primo” jewel, a medal awarded for being a presiding officer of a lodge. At the base of the ribbon, it is engraved Esk-view Lge 54 which refers to the name and number of the lodge. Eskview is on the outskirts of Napier in Hawke’s Bay NZ. The rear is engraved: “presented to Brother A. Missen by the members of the Esk-view Lodge No.54 NZ. Raised to 2nd Degree 26.9.34. the medal was made by Young & Co in Auckland.
