This pot featuring the image of the goddess Hygeia and the infant Telesphorus who were symbols of Health & Convalescence. There are several versions of these pots. This version has “TH“ (for Thomas Holloway) on the inner base of the Pot.
Origin: England.
Period: Mid to late 19th Century.
Condition: These are quite crude pots with quality control obviously not a major factor in production. There is some blurring to the transfer print in places, an Ink spot on the pot rim and denting to the rim. All adding to the character of this charming piece.
